How Dull It Is To Pause

Tho' much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which were are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by tie and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find and not to yield.

Alfred Lord Tennyson

PERFECT Camelot

Don't let it be forgot
That once there was a spot
For one brief shining moment
That was known as Camelot.

PERFECT: Good Time with Great Leg - You Go, Angelina!

Really? We make fun of a woman who spends a few hours one night feeling sexy after having spent a long time feeling heavy from the weight of trying to make sense of a crazy world?

How about we spread a little bit of that venom on those worthy of it - you know, the endless stream of celebrities who are photographed shopping again and again and again. Or sitting mindlessly - gratis - in the front row of some couture fashion thing watching emaciated models stick skinny legs out of their goofy outfits that, really, no one should be seen in.

Shame, shame, shame.

Go pick on someone your own size.

PERFECT Laveau

"Something very real is happening. Americans today are hungry for spiritual fulfillment, and voodoo offers a direct experience with the sacred that appeals to more and more people. This is especially visible in New Orleans, which has always been a center of those beliefs. Marie Laveau rules the imagination of this city. People think about her, see her, have visions of her, dream about her, talk to her. I know because these people are showing up on my doorstep almost every day."
Martha Ward, author of The Voodoo Queen

PERFECT Carmina

I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This make it hard to plan the day.
